🎮 What is NumberCrossIQ?
NumberCrossIQ is a strategic number puzzle where every decision matters. Players take turns placing numbered tiles on a shared board and score points based on how their numbers interact with the tiles already on the board.
Unlike traditional number puzzles that you solve on your own, NumberCrossIQ is made for competition. Play against an AI at your own pace, or challenge real players from all over the world in real-time multiplayer matches.
The game is free to play and available on iOS, Android and directly in your browser as a Progressive Web App (PWA).

Single player: Take on an AI opponent whenever you like. Practise your strategy, learn the scoring system and sharpen your skills without any time pressure.
Multiplayer: Challenge other players in real time. Create a private game and invite a friend, or join an open match. Every game is unique: no two boards develop the same way.

NumberCrossIQ is fully translated into 15 languages, making it accessible to players all over the world. The game adapts to your device, whether you use an iPhone, an Android phone or a browser on your computer.
💭 The story behind NumberCrossIQ
NumberCrossIQ was born out of a simple frustration: most number puzzles are solitary activities. You solve a grid, close the app and move on. There is no opponent, no tactical back-and-forth and no moment where a clever placement actually outsmarts someone else.
At the same time, classic crossword games with letter tiles have shown for decades how satisfying it is to take turns placing tiles on a shared board. You don't just fill in empty squares: you read your opponent's options and plan two or three moves ahead.
NumberCrossIQ combines these two ideas: the logical sequencing of number puzzles with the competitive, spatial tension of a strategic tile game. The result is a game where quick mental arithmetic matters less than pattern recognition, positioning and knowing when it is better to block your opponent than to score points.
The game is developed and maintained by a single developer, which means frequent updates based directly on player feedback rather than decisions made by a committee.
🏆 Scoring & bonus squares
Every tile you place scores points based on its number and its position relative to tiles already placed in the same row or column sequence. Placing a higher number next to a strong existing sequence can multiply your points, but that is often exactly the square your opponent wants too.
Special bonus squares add another strategic layer:
DN×2 doubles the value of the tile placed on the square.
TN×3 triples the value.
DC×2 doubles the total score of the whole sequence the tile belongs to. This can change the outcome of a match dramatically if you manage to place the tile in a long, high-scoring sequence.
Balancing the chance to score big against keeping your opponent away from the best squares is the very core of the strategy behind NumberCrossIQ.
